Didem developed induced pluripotent stem cell-based disease models and established differentiated iPSC-derived neuronal cultures and cerebral organoid models for galactosemia. She has more than ten years of experience in disease modeling by using stem cells. She holds awards, including the Young Scientist Travel Award by Harvard Brain Science Initiative in 2018.
